Canada-based company Tangent Environmental Technologies sees promising opportunities in Central and South America, and is actively chasing contracts in Venezuela, Curaçao and Mexico, CEO Jason Snydmiller told BNamericas
“We are seeing growing environmental consciousness, especially when it comes to water, and the Americas markets are taking steps to minimize the impact and costs related to sourcing fresh water, or recycling water wherever possible,” Snydmiller said.
“We are not just focused on water. We are also interested in oil spill remediation, which involves recovering the oil and later cleaning the water and soil that have been affected,” he added.
While Tangent focuses mainly on the oil and gas sector, its technologies are also applicable to other industries such as mining, and pulp and paper, Snydmiller said.
“There is much room for growth in the environmental industry as companies realize the cost savings, the reduction in liability and environmental stewardship in the region,” he added.
